“UKRAINIAN ROOTS” 

In my heartfelt project “Ukrainian Roots”, I delve into the experiences of Ukrainian refugees who have been uprooted from their homeland and dispersed across different countries. Through my lens, I aim to capture the resilience, strength, and longing for home that defines their journeys. Like a tree without roots, these individuals and families have been forced to adapt to new environments, cultures, and languages.

Each photograph becomes a visual testament to their stories of displacement, resilience, and the indomitable spirit that keeps their Ukrainian heritage alive. From candid moments of shared traditions to portraits that reflect their strength and determination, these images invite viewers to empathize with the challenges faced by refugees and reflect on the importance of preserving cultural identity in the face of adversity.

Through this project, I aim to highlight the struggles, hopes, and dreams of those who carry their Ukrainian roots with them.
